Tales of Stargate...

You know you're a Stargate freak when you notice that the "author" of the book Jack is reading in Window of Opportunity (the time-loop episode) is actually one of the show's producers. And you notice it *without* the help of the audio commentary. ^^;;

The following conversation took place between myself and Danny just now while watching a random season 6 episode.

Tammy: I love Jonas so very much... But, y'know, I never realized until now how incredibly Mary Sue he is. **ponders this**
Danny: ...
Tammy: No, really! The boy can do no wrong! He's funny, he's has super!genius powerz, he's cute...
Danny: Let me put this in terms you can understand; he's probably gay.
Tammy: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! ;______;

But seriously, sportsfans, I challenge you to find one single flaw in Jonas. Just one. 'Cause I'm certainly not seeing any...

The credits came up after the episode. There was what is quite possibly the best role name in these credits. Evar. "Antagonistic Bad Guy." XD Tammy's reaction was something like, "Dude, I'd LOVE to be in any sort of credits under the role of 'Antagonistic Bad Guy'!"

And this last one is a shout out to all you [info]knkfics fans out there, as well! Also in these ending credits was the role "Special Ops. Man." Tammy's mind: Special Ops. Man-->Ops./62512-->Jihan! ^___^

Okay, so there are at least 2 Stargate t-shirts I need to make. One is a simple picture of Thor with a caption akin to "Thor is a sexy beast!" and/or "Thor is my homeboy." The second is a picture of Teal'c, preferably raising an eyebrow ever-so-slightly with crossed arms, with the caption "Real men wear eyeliner." XD

Alright, I'll stop my Stargate fangirling now.

The only thing I have to say about Window of Opportunity:

Hammond: WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?
Jack: In the middle of my BACKSWING?!

and

Hammond: Colonel, why aren't you in uniform?
Jack: Handing you my resignation.
Hammond: But why?
Jack: *checks watch* So I can do ... THIS! *smooches Carter*

And .. and .. and .. dammit, I could quote the entire episode so I'm going to stop now. But that's my favourite episode EVER. *fangurls*

Did you know that they actually glued the fruit loops onto Jack's spoon so that they'd be the same in every shot? That's why, if you look carefully, the one take where he drops the spoon back into his bowl, they don't come off. XD

BY THE WAY ...

Did you notice that Jonas got infinitely hotter between seasons 5 and 6? In 5 he was like "Neh ..." and then in 6 it's like "Wow, who's the hot guy?" and it was Jonas with arm-muscles and pecs! Staggering!!

Jonas is ohsohot... *_* And he can Do No Wrong! It's like I have this voice inside my head that whispers "Mary suuuueee..." whenever he goes into Better than Everyone Else mode, like the "Seven days..." in the Ring. But I don't even care because he's just! So! Awesome!

Kinda reminds me of Daniel. At the beginning of the series he's all like, SUPER!dork, and then somewhere around season 3 or 4 he's randomly benchpressing 100 lbs while wearing a tank, and it's like, "wait... since when did you have muscles? o.o"

Oh lord, it's so true. The whole ... hot!Daniel syndrome, I mean. Like, look at 'Summit' in Season 5 when he's running around in the sleeveless thing with those armbands. It's like ... DAMN. I love Daniel, and Jonas as well, though I disliked him at first because it was like "DANIEL REPLACEMENT!!!111ONONEONEONEOEOEN". They're embodiments of "Revenge of the Nerds" or something.

Hajimemashite = "It's nice to meet you." We're not meeting, so that doesn't work. Also, you wouldn't put a 'ka?' after 'hajimemashite'--it just sounds wrong. It'd be something like, "hajimemashite desu ne?" But unless you have amnesia or enjoy posing very obvious rhetorical questions, I can't see why you'd add it...

Nihongo wo benkyou shimasu ka? Hiragana to katakana mo? Demo kanji wa totemo muzukashii... ~___~ atashi kanji ga kirai... **mu** Uchi ni nihongo no hon ga ippai arimasu--isshoni benkyou shimasen ka?

(Have fun trying to figure that out, now! ^^ Also? I'd pay money to hear you trying to pronounce these words right now **is ebil**)

the book put Hajimemashite as "How are you doing?" and said ka indicated it was a question, so thats why I put it in there. O.o

And I know that the japanese words are broken into syllables so I can pronouce some, of not most of the words correctly. So neh! *Razzberry*

I've had the book for one night, gimme a break!! >_

Wow... If your book says that, then it's probably a crappy phrasebook. Maybe you could take it back and buy another one? A textbook would be best (I have "Youkoso" vol. 1 for class right now), but they can be pretty expensive ($80 or so), so I dunno if you'd still want one. What'd it put for some of the other basic phrases?
